Data Deletion Instructions
Occupo is a messaging assistant operated by Solutions Mira AI Inc. on behalf of property managers and landlords. It answers rental enquiries sent to their Facebook Pages, to Facebook Marketplace and to their Instagram accounts.
If you have messaged one of those Pages and want the personal information held about you deleted, follow the steps below. Deletion is free, and you do not need to give a reason.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to privacy@occupo.ca with the subject line “Data deletion request”.
- Tell us the profile name you used when you messaged, and which Page or Instagram account you wrote to. If you can, add the approximate date of the conversation — it helps us find your records faster.
- Or, more simply: write “Delete my data” in your existing conversation with the Page. We treat that as a deletion request for that conversation.
We may ask one question to confirm the request really comes from you. We will never ask for a password, a payment method or an identity document.
What happens next
- We confirm we received your request.
- We locate your records from your message or the details you gave us.
- Within thirty (30) days, the personal information held about you for this service is deleted: your conversation history with the assistant, the page-scoped or account-scoped identifier Meta assigned to you, your profile name, any enquiry or viewing details recorded from the conversation, and the phone number and text-message history if you received SMS reminders. This applies both to our own systems and to those of the service providers acting on our behalf, which are instructed to do the same.
- We send you a confirmation once the deletion is complete.
If you are an Occupo client
Write to privacy@occupo.ca to have your account data deleted. On the end of an agreement, client data is destroyed — or exported and then destroyed, if you ask — within thirty (30) days.
What we cannot delete
- Meta’s copy. Deleting our copy does not remove the conversation from Messenger or Instagram. Your own copy of the thread is yours to delete in the app, and Meta’s copies are governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s own tools.
- The property manager’s own records. Where a leasing team has copied your details into their own system, they are responsible for that copy. We pass your request on to them, and tell you when we have.
- What the law requires us to keep. We may retain limited information where a legal obligation says we must.
For what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.
